Things to Do: Fall Season Fun

Lone Star Family Farm is pleased to be able to offer a wide range of attractions that are fun for the whole family! These attractions are also ideal for school groups, church groups, scouting groups, and more!

Our farm is the perfect destination for day trips from Fort Worth, Dallas, Waco, Brownwood, Granbury, Weatherford, and other Texas locations!

Giant Corn Maze

Mini Corn Maze

For younger explorers. Enjoy our smaller maze, hidden within the Giant Corn Maze.

Hay Bale Maze

Jump, Crawl, and Climb! Kids enjoy climbing, crawling, jumping, and making their way through this maze of hay bales!

Hay Bale Pyramid

Climb! Kids can climb up this giant pyramid of hay bales as their imagination runs wild!

Cow Train

Get MOOOOving on our redneck roller coaster!
Take a ride around the farm on our Cow Train - a fun-filled ride for the littlest rider up to adults.

Corn Cannon

Aim and fire!
Test your aim with our corn cannon (included in our Combo Pass and Fun Pass or $2 for 3 shots)!

Giant Slides

Weeeee! Climb up our hay bale mountain and then race to see who can get to the bottom first. Our giant slides are side-by-side for double the fun. How fast can you go?

Combine Harvester Slide

Farm machinery up close! Enjoy this very unique slide! Your kids will get to safely climb up inside this giant piece of farm machinery and then slide out from the other side!

Corn Pit

Dig, Scoop, and Play! The farm version of a sand box, the Corn Pit allows sensory play and encourages discovery by replacing sand from the traditional sand box with corn kernels! More fun and less mess! Kids can "get in touch with their food."

Pedal Tractors

Pedal power! Aspiring farmers can pedal around, testing their 'driving' skills on these mini tractors.

Corn Hole & More

Challenge your friends and family! Who is up for a little friendly competition? Enjoy corn hole, tether ball, slacklines, and other activities that will test your skills!

Roping Dummies

Lasso! Try your hand at being a ranch hand. Test your skill on our dummies and see how you'd do roping cattle on the real range.

Stick Horses

Giddy-up! For cowboys and cowgirls in training. Pick your mount! Come run the barrels at Lone Star Family Farm! The little ones can ride around the farm on stick horses and let their imaginations run wild.

Farm Animals

Come meet our animals! Our goats, cows, pigs, and chickens are friendly and fun to observe!

Pig Races

Cheer for your favorite pig at "Swinehill Downs!" Races are available at select times.

Hayrides

All aboard! Relax and have fun making new fall family traditions as you take a ride out to the Pumpkin Patch. Adults and kids alike will have a good time taking in the fresh air and countryside. A wagon ride is included with farm admission at no extra charge. Private hayride reservations are also available.

Pumpkin Patch

Pick a pumpkin! Big, little, medium... You get to pick a pumpkin that suits just you! Don't miss out on this special fall attraction! (Pumpkins are additional to the park admission fee.)

NOTICE: Please note that due to a crop failure this year we do not have our own farm-grown pumpkins available for picking in the patch but we still have thousands of pumpkins to choose from at the farm and great backdrops for photo ops! LEARN MORE >

Pumpkins and Fall Décor

Choose the perfect pumpkin or browse our selection of other fall décor including gourds, Indian corn, and more. (Pumpkins and décor are additional to the park admission fee. Visitors may purchase pre-picked pumpkins and décor without paying admission to the rest of the farm.)

Sunflower Fields

Enjoy our fields of sunflowers (when in bloom). Spend as much time as you'd like taking photos and exploring the blooms. PLEASE NOTE: Sunflowers are an agricultural crop and therefore subject to weather, growing conditions, and ripening variables. We cannot guarantee that the sunflowers will be in bloom on a particular date.

Cotton Patch

Soft, fluffy, white cotton! Visit our educational farming area and look at, touch, and learn about cotton. Cotton is used to make a number of textile products. Did you know that in addition to the textile industry, cotton is used in many other products including coffee filters, books, fishing nets, and more? The U.S. is the largest exporter of cotton. Concessions

Hungry? Enjoy delicious snacks and drinks from our concession stand! (Additional fees apply.)

Picnic Area

Take a break! Enjoy our picnic area while you take time to relax and refuel between activities. Picnic benches are provided for your convenience and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
